Telehealth Therapy in Aurora, Colorado
For the People Who Hold Everyone Else Together
Supporting first responders, veterans, service members and their families, healthcare workers, and burned-out moms who are functioning but running on empty. You don't have to keep doing it alone.

What Working Together May Look Like
Someone Who Gets It
I don't need the job explained to me. I already know the culture.
Skills From Session One
Therapy here is more like training than processing. You'll leave with something concrete.
Fits Your Schedule 100%
100% telehealth across Colorado. From your office or your couch, no commute required.
When the Strength That Got You Here Starts Costing You Everything
You handle things other people can't. You go toward the thing everyone else runs from. And for a long time, that's worked. But lately, you drive home and the shift doesn't end. You're short with the people you love. You sleep too little, or you sleep to escape. You look fine on the outside. Nobody would know. But something has been off for a while now, and you know it.
- You can manage anything at work, but at home everything feels like too much
- You're replaying moments you can't change, calls, incidents, shifts, decisions
- Your fuse is shorter than it used to be, and you hate it
- You don't feel like yourself anymore, but you don't know how to say that out loud
That's not weakness. That's what carrying too much for too long actually looks like.
A Therapist Who Knows Your World, Not Just Your Diagnosis

Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations
I'm Kate Rodarte, MA, LPC. I've spent five years working specifically with the people everyone else depends on, and I came to this work from the inside, not a textbook.
My mom is retired law enforcement. My husband served twenty years in the Army. My best friend is a nurse. I'm a mom who has been burned out, touched out, and running on empty myself. I didn't study your world. I grew up in parts of it and have lived in the rest.
What that means for you in a session:
- You don't have to explain the culture or the stigma before we get to the real work
- You'll get something concrete and useful early on, usually by the second session
- My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, grounded in evidence-based methods including EMDR
- For clients who want it, I integrate a Christian, faith-based lens into our work together
Many clients tell me the first thing they notice is that they stop dreading going home. That's not a guarantee, but it's what they describe, and it's what I'm aiming for with you.
Therapy Services in Aurora, Colorado
Every person who works with me is carrying a version of the same thing: a job, a role, or a life that asks a great deal, and not much in return. These are the people I work with.
Therapy for First Responders
For law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and corrections officers who can't leave the job at the station.

For the partner who manages everything else and rarely gets asked how they're doing.
Therapy for Service Members
For those who carried the mission and are still figuring out what comes next.
Therapy for Military Spouses
For the person who has moved, sacrificed, and solo-parented more times than anyone should have to do alone.
Therapy for Healthcare Workers
For nurses, doctors, dentists, and healthcare professionals whose compassion is being outpaced by the demand.
Therapy for Burned-Out Moms
For the mom who is holding everything together while quietly running out of herself.
You Don't Have to Have It Figured Out to Reach Out
If you've been reading this and thinking "this sounds like me", that's enough. You don't need to know what to say or be sure you're ready. A 15-minute conversation costs you nothing, and it tells you everything you need to know about whether this is the right fit.
Getting Started Is Simpler Than You Think
A lot of people I work with have put off reaching out for a long time. Here's what the process actually looks like, no surprises, no commitment before you're ready.
Step 01
Reach Out
Fill out the contact form or call, whichever feels easier. You don't need to prepare anything or have the right words. Just let me know you're interested.
Step 02
15-Minute Conversation
This free call is low-pressure. We'll talk briefly about what's been going on and what you're looking for. You'll get a sense of how I work. There's no intake form, no commitment, and no pressure to move forward if it doesn't feel right.
Step 03
We Start at Your Pace
If the consultation feels right, we'll schedule your first session. You decide the pace from there. I work with people whose schedules are
unpredictable, telehealth means you can meet with me from anywhere in Colorado that has a decent connection.

There's a Version of Your Life Where You Actually Want to Go Home
I became a therapist because I watched the people I love, my mom, my husband, my best friend, myself, carry weight that had a name nobody was using. I watched quality of life decline. I watched the job follow people home until they couldn't remember what home felt like without it.
I wasn't willing to keep watching.
The people I work with aren't broken. They're depleted. There's a difference. And over time, with the right support, things may begin to shift, not all at once, and not in a straight line, but in ways you'd notice. Coming home and actually being there.
Sleeping without replaying the day. Recognizing yourself again in a way you'd almost stopped expecting.
A lot of my clients say they wish they'd done it sooner. I hear that more than almost anything else.
Ready to Have a Conversation? I'm Here.
You don't have to be ready. You just have to be willing to talk. The consultation is free, it's 15 minutes, and there's no commitment on the other end of it. Sessions are 100% telehealth, so you can reach out from anywhere in Colorado, and your privacy is always protected.
